some clever people have said some good things.
“ Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great. ”
-mark twain
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant,
gorgeous, handsome, talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us.
It is not just in some; it is in everyone.
And, as we let our own light shine, we consciously give
other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our fear,
our presence automatically liberates others." -Marianne Williamson
"It is never too late to be who you might have been."

“The greatest victory has been to be able to live with myself, to accept my shortcomings. ...I’m a long way from the human being I’d like to be. But I’ve decided I’m not so bad after all” -Audrey Hepburn
one evening at candlelight meditation we started talking about the light we all have, and how we can brighten the world with it. how we need to spread happiness, share light, serve and love others. my dear friend elizabeth said that part of letting your light shine is not dimming other peoples light in effort to make yours seem brighter. Instead admire it, help them, share what light you find with them. happiness is never ending, so no use in hording.
a boy i fell very in love with helped me see my own light.
he helped me heal myself.
as well as my friends.
my family.
i am a lucky girl.
i hope all those people in my life, can see their great potential, their great light, their wondrous selves.
it'd be a shame to miss it.
